- The BFI London Film Festival began on October 8 and is underway until October 19.
- So far, stars like Emma Stone and George Clooney have worn strong fashion on the red carpet.

Fashion is taking over the BFI London Film Festival this week.
Stars including George Clooney, Emma Stone, and Andrew Garfield have all made appearances at the UK event — which started on October 8 and runs until October 19 — while wearing sharp and stunning fashion.
Others, like Elle Fanning and Barry Keoghan, stepped onto the red carpet in fashion faux pas.
These are the best and worst outfits we've seen celebrities wear so far.
The Clooneys looked like royalty as they walked the red carpet.
The fashionable couple attended the film festival to promote George Clooney's coming film, "Jay Kelly."
The actor wore a classic navy suit, a navy tie, and shining black dress shoes.
Amal Clooney, on the other hand, made a statement in pink. Her Tamara Ralph couture gown was strapless, covered in sequins across its bodice, and lined with fringe across its tiered skirt.
She accessorized it with silver sandals, diamond earrings, and a pink feathered coat.
Amanda Seyfried chose a gown that would be more appropriate at a prom than at a film festival.
She promoted her latest movie, "The Testament of Ann Lee," while wearing a black-and-white design from Richard Quinn. Though the strapless piece was pretty, its mix of velvet and tulle fabric overwhelmed the petite actor.
The gown's bodice, which was corseted and decorated with a white rose, also recalled prom styles.
Seyfried wore the dress with a straight hairstyle, a diamond necklace, and open-toed Aquazzura heels.
Ayo Edebiri shimmered her way into the screening of her film, "After the Hunt."
She wore a white Chanel gown that was sleeveless and made from satin.
It had knotted details across the hips and one shoulder, as well as a flower embellishment attached at the waist.
The gown was pretty, elegant, and accessorized perfectly with diamond earrings and an updo hairstyle.
Elle Fanning's outfit had one too many layers.
Fanning stars in "Sentimental Value," which was screened at the London Film Festival.
So she walked the red carpet in a two-piece set from Simone Rocha that undoubtedly made a statement. Unfortunately, it wasn't a great one.
The outfit included wide-leg trousers beneath a sleeveless, sequin-covered gown, and strappy black sandals. It overpowered her and looked heavy.
The ensemble would have been more effective if the dress had been lifted at the waist, as it was on the brand's runway, or worn without the pants entirely.
Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig looked sharp in coordinated suits.
Ahead of a "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery" screening, the couple walked the red carpet hand in hand.
Weisz wore a black suit that was perfectly tailored to her measurements, pointed leather boots, and a white blouse that added a bit of contrast to her dark outfit.
Craig chose a more colorful look. He paired a gray suit with a baby-blue button-up top and a red striped tie.
Their outfits were simple, but effective.
Barry Keoghan dressed too casually for the red-carpet event.
He attended the film festival to support his friend, Paul Mescal, and his coming movie "Hamnet."
That said, Keoghan didn't dress for the occasion. Instead of wearing a suit, he donned baggy blue jeans, chunky white sneakers, and a blue pullover sweater.
Swapping his casual denim for black trousers could have vastly improved the look.
Emma Stone looked chic in marigold yellow.
While promoting "Bugonia," Stone walked the red carpet in a custom gown from Louis Vuitton.
The sleeveless design was solid in color, straight in design, and backless. It perfectly complemented the red color and short style of her hair.
Stone wore it with delicate jewel earrings and a matching scarf wrapped around her arms.
Mila Kunis took the same simple approach, but ultimately missed the mark.
She walked the red carpet to promote "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery."
However, her appearance wasn't too memorable as a result of her overly simple gown.
The black, strapless design had an extra-short sequined bodice and a floor-length skirt that puffed around her legs.
More tailoring and some statement jewelry could have improved the understated outfit.
Andrew Garfield wore a gray and black ensemble that suited his style.
Garfield often walks the red carpet in modern outfits that are tailored to him perfectly. This Valentino look he wore for the "After the Hunt" screening was no exception.
It included black trousers with a slightly flared shape, a black blouse with a bow neckline that was left untied, and a gray tweed blazer.
His leather shoes and gold ring made the outfit appear even more luxurious.
