  • Savannah Guthrie said her family acknowledges her mother "may already be gone."

In a tearful new video post on Tuesday, Savannah Guthrie acknowledged her missing mother may already be dead as she announced that her family is offering as much as $1 million for her return.

The "Today" show host said in the Instagram video message that her family still believes "in a miracle," but said, "We also know that she may be lost."

"She may already be gone," Guthrie said of her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie. "She may have already gone home to the lord that she loves and is dancing in heaven with her mom and her dad and with her beloved brother, Pierce, and with our daddy."

"If this is what is to be, then we will accept it," an emotional Savannah Guthrie said.

Authorities believe Nancy Guthrie was abducted from her Arizona home more than three weeks ago in the middle of the night.

Savannah Guthrie said while her family is confronting the possibility of the worst, "We need to know where she is."

"We need her to come home," she said. "For that reason, we are offering a family reward of up to $1 million for any information that leads us to her recovery."

That reward is on top of the $100,000 that the FBI has already offered for information related to Nancy Guthrie's disappearance.

The FBI's Phoenix field office said in X post on Tuesday that Nancy Guthrie's family is "offering a private $1 million reward for credible information that directly leads to her return."

The FBI asked the public to contact the agency's tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI if anyone has firsthand knowledge of the woman's whereabouts.

This week, the intensive search for Nancy Guthrie entered its fourth week, and key questions about what happened and why remain unanswered.

Local law enforcement and the FBI are still trying to identify the masked and armed man who was captured on footage from Nancy Guthrie's missing Nest doorbell camera the night she vanished.

"It is day 24 since our mom was taken in the dark of night from her bed, and every hour and minute and second and every long night has been agony since then of worrying about her and fearing for her, aching for her, and most of all, just missing her," Savannah Guthrie said in the Tuesday video post.

The famed NBC anchor added, "If you hear this message, if you've been waiting and you haven't been sure, let this be your sign to please come forward, tell what you know, help us bring our beloved mom home so that we can either celebrate a glorious, miraculous homecoming or celebrate the beautiful, brave and courageous and noble life that she has lived.

"Please be the light in the dark," Savannah Guthrie said.

Savannah Guthrie also said her family was donating $500,000 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, a nonprofit, because "we know there are millions of families that have suffered with this kind of uncertainty."

"We are hoping that the attention that has been given to our mom and our family will extend to all the families like ours who are in need and need prayers and need support," she said.
