  • A scene where Piper Ratliff lost her virginity was cut from the "The White Lotus" season three finale.
  • Creator Mike White originally planned the scene to happen after Piper leaves the monastery.
  • He revealed that she would've slept with Zion, Belinda's son.

Piper Ratliff (Sarah Catherine Hook) would have lost her virginity in the "The White Lotus" season three finale, but creator Mike White said the scene was cut because it made the episode too long.

The show has finally come full circle following the brief scene at the start, which teased that someone would go on a shooting spree in the hotel grounds.

For a moment earlier in the season, it looked like it would've been troubled financier Timothy Ratliff (Jason Isaacs). Ultimately it was revealed to be Rick Hatchett (Walton Goggins).

The episode nearly took another turn for Piper, who had changed her mind about spending a year in a Thai monastery. White said he originally intended for her to lose her virginity after making the decision.

"The part that was cut too, which is very disappointing, is that she decides to lose her virginity in the script in the last episode, and she actually has sex with Zion, Belinda's son," he revealed on Monday's episode of "The White Lotus Official Podcast."

He said that it would've happened because her older brother accused her of being a virgin.

"She's like, 'It's true, Saxon's right about this one thing, I need to get this over with.' After she leaves the monastery, she's just like, 'I need to have sex.'"

White explained that the scene was taken out because the final episode was already too long.

"It was just like one of these things where ... it's an hour and a half already, and it would have added like 10 minutes to the thing. It had a little bit of a romantic rom-com vibe in the middle of Timothy Ratliff trying to kill the family with the pong-pong fruits," he explained.

Fans have already criticized the episode, with plenty of memes and jokes about the ending already doing the rounds on social media.

Some said that adding this scene would've made the final episode worse.

Solidifies how bad this show is. Piper was only ever there for her unavailability (to her shitty family, to shitty men) to get broken down and subsumed into heteronormativity. “She’ll be alright because she can get laid now” https://t.co/yNE8Kit2gr

Hook also touched on Piper's storyline during a cast Q+A on Sunday in Los Angeles after the final episode aired.

"I was like, 'Wow. Everyone in this episode really came to some enlightenment.' And she's trying to get enlightened the whole time. And then she's like, 'No. I guess I'm spoiled,'" she said, People reported.

Hook added: "I'm ready for her to be a hoe now. So let's go. Make it happen. No, I'm kidding. I don't know. I'm being a troll."
